I stayed at the Glendale during my walk of the Cumbrian Way - my single room with ensuite was small but everything to hand that I needed was there - the bed was Uber comfortable snd the Quilt lush!Definitely recommended 😊 - David Threlfall
We had a lovely stay at this guest house in Keswick. From the moment we arrived, the owner and family were incredibly friendly and welcoming, immediately putting us at ease and making us feel more like part of the family than just guests.Throughout our stay they were always happy to help with any questions, and they went above and beyond in resolving a major issue we encountered when trying to book through a third-party company. Their kindness and professionalism were so appreciated that we chose to book directly with them afterwards as a gesture of goodwill. The breakfast was excellent, the room was comfortable, and the bed was absolutely divine — perfect after a long day walking in the Lakes. The location is ideal, with an easy stroll into Keswick where there are plenty of excellent restaurants and pubs to enjoy. The only slight downside is parking. However, the owner was very helpful in pointing out the best nearby streets to park on. During busier periods I can imagine parking could become more difficult, and you may need to use one of the town centre car parks, which are around a 5–10 minute walk away after unloading your luggage. That said, if you are coming to Keswick, chances are you are there for the walking — so a short extra walk is hardly a hardship! Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return. - Tim R
